SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The MEΘEXIS Journal of Research in Values and Spirituality is a double peer-reviewed, open-access, bi-annual publication, printed and online. The journal is publishing Original Research Articles, Book Reviews, Critical Reviews, and Field Research Reports. We consider original articles between 4.000 and 10,000 words in length, book review / critical review between 1.000 and 3.000 words, and Field Research Reports 2.000 and 5.000 words. The MEΘEXIS Journal is open to considering longer manuscripts of exceptional quality, with the editor’s permission. The journal considers only submissions that are not published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration by another journal. We aim to reach decisions on submissions in 2-3 months.
The MEΘEXIS Journal is double-anonymous peer-reviewed. The review process of a research paper starts with the ‘Internal Review’ process. The ‘External Review’ process begins after the editor assigns the paper to the outside reviewers.
Internal Review
Each article submitted to MEΘEXIS Journal for publication is subject to an internal review through the editors, who then selects the manuscripts on the basis of the following criteria: originality, clarity, scholarly thematic profile of the journal and ethical rigour.
External Review
Articles that meet the minimum publication criteria are sent to two experts for evaluation, in accordance with the double-blind peer review procedure. The evaluation of each article is undertaken in a double-blind-peer review process with the aim of assessing the scholarly quality of the work submitted for publication.
