Abstract

MEΘEXIS Journal aims to publish research articles on the various aspects of values in their connections with spirituality. The impact of values in today's world is more visible than before, due to recent global developments and crises. If no more than three decades ago, the future globalized world was seen as a big village sharing common core values, nowadays things are quite different. Now it is more than obvious that attempts to uniformize global values are mere illusions. Spirituality is an invaluable resource of practical wisdom, so much needed in dealing with today's crisis, moral, social, economic, ecological, or pandemic. As a result of millennia of dealing with human scope and the human limitations of reaching them, spirituality provides the background for core values within cultural and social horizons. For these reasons, it's critical to investigate how spirituality has shaped the values of today's cultures and communities, and how it has influenced us as individuals.
