About the Journal

MEΘEXIS Journal of Research in Values and Spirituality focuses on theoretical and empirical research on the relationship between values and spirituality, understood as the human search for meaning, transcendence, inner transformation, and forms of engagement with ultimate questions. It encompasses religious and non-religious expressions of inner life, ethical formation, contemplative and spiritual practices, and their philosophical, cultural, historical, and social dimensions. It publishes original research articles covering, but not limited to, Philosophy, Ethics, Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Social Sciences, Religious Studies, and Patristic Studies. MEΘEXIS is a double-anonymous peer-reviewed, open-access journal published twice a year, in May and November, in both online and print formats.

MEΘEXIS Journal publishes Book Reviews and Critical Reviews of relevant books in the field(s).

MEΘEXIS Journal targets an international academic audience, including researchers, university faculty, doctoral and graduate students, and scholars. It also invites contributions that appeal to researchers working across fields on topics related to the journal's area of interest.
